The First 24 Hours: Rest and Protect

Chill Out: Rest up—skip the gym or heavy lifting. Let your body focus on healing.
Ice It: Apply an ice pack (wrapped in a cloth) to your cheek for 15-minute bursts to tame swelling.
Bite Down: If we gave you gauze, keep gentle pressure on it to control bleeding. Swap it out as needed.

Pain and Meds: Stay Comfortable

Follow the Plan: We recommend over-the-counter options (like ibuprofen and Tylenol) with meals for the first 3-5 days. Most patients feel just mild soreness.
Rinse Later: Skip mouthwash for the first day—starting day two, use a saltwater rinse (1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water) to keep things clean.

Oral Hygiene: Gentle Does It

Brush Carefully: After one day, you can brush your teeth, but avoid brushing near the implant for a few days.
No Poking: Resist the urge to touch the area with your tongue or fingers. It’s healing—give it space!
